Gooooooooood Times boys, about time you started scoring some goals.
I have just one question. Jimmy Byrne up front??? By that reckoning, if I had stayed at the club, I would also be playing up front! I love Nestors idea of putting strikers at right back and central defenders as lone strikers. I'm thinking of returning to the club, just so I can be a striker too.
You had better keep it up, its a long way yet to be clear of relegation
Dicko
Dicko,
if my memory serves me right, you did play up front in the A Field days. Didn't he try you at centre mid, in the hole and right wing aswell?
It was great to see the result and quite pleasing to see that we actually decided to shoot at least five times.
Keep this up and I will stay in Paris.
Stay tight in defence.
...promise?
D was good aside from the goal and a couple of chances in the first half - CB's were solid as usual, and Ant had a good day on the right. Pauly D slotted in well for Costa with Rich also doing a lot of running and defensive work
Yeah Nestor, A Field tried it at the end of the season, putting Dicko up front..... I think he had been watching the Swans play and thought a big unco unit up front ala Barry Hall would work!
Turns out he was right, if my memory serves me correctly in those 3 games that i was playing up front... the team scored about 10 goals (will check the exact figures)
Good to see the team drag themselves up off the bottom, really need big Jimmy Byrne to start scoring some more goals as we need all 3 points.
Better get back to work
"Better get back to work"
just like you used to get back to work at the dog, having sneaky beers downstairs? don't think that the all mighty management didn't know what you were up
Coming from the chump that got me a job there in the first place! At least the owner of the pub never walked in on me having a sleep at work!!
what can i say, life's tough at the top.
you'll also recall my recruitment criteria extended to nathan royan and he was only mildly less successful than you. at least we both left in hilarious circumstances
